I enjoyed the Bobsey Twins and Nancy Drew series growing up. Both of theses books bring back fond memories of simpler times. We love it! As a young child, I loved the Boxcar Children. Plus. I imagined people revisiting the pages and each time finding something they may have overlooked, the page revealing itself more with each viewing. Some are wild, almost gaudy! My parents saved those books for their grandkids, and I remember the surge of joy when they brought the box of Little Golden Books down from the attic for me to share with my daughters, lifting out each title and remembering how they made me feel. I literally wolfed down whatever book I could when I was a kid. My favorite book as a child was The Velveteen Rabbit. My favorite book as a child was, The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett. Oh, and my book wasnt a book, it was my grandmother who shared her flower passion and wisdom as I helped her clean glad bulbs before winterizing when I was knee high to a grasshopper in rural Quebec, Canada.
